These Abducktion duck cupcakes are the perfect game party dessert to go with the Abducktion board game or themed game night parties!

Cutest Abducktion Duck Cupcakes Ever!
If the Abducktion game is your game night go to (how could it not be?!?), you definitely need to make these super cute duckie cupcakes for your game party.
We made them all in yellow (which was a mistake on my party, but they were still a huge hit), but the next time I’m going to make them in different colors like the ducks in the game.
(I mean, these in hot pink?!? ::chef’s kiss::)
IMPORTANT: My daughter wants you to know that she calls these Duckcakes. So there’s that.

How To Make Abducktion Game Duck Cupcakes
RECIPE TIP: Next time I think I'll make these as mini duck cupcakes (grab this mini pan) for bite-sized party snacks. Then, I can have one in every Abducktion duck color, so BONUS.
ALSO: I think I'll grab these funny UFO toppers to go with them.

Equipment
- Cupcake pan
- Piping icing bags (or gallon resealable plastic bag with one corner cut off)
Ingredients
- 1 box Cake mix or cupcake mix of choice (we used lemon) Plus ingredients to make cupcakes according to box directions
- 1 Buttercream icing in tub, colors of choice (we used yellow) If you want to make all the Abducktion duck colors you'll need: yellow, hot pink, blue, white.
- Orange candy sprinkle hearts
- Yellow sanding sugar Or the color of sanding sugar to match the icing. (If you're making blue ducks, get blue sanding sugar.)
- Candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to package directions for cupcakes.
- Mix cupcake batter according to package directions.
- Line cupcake pan with baking cups, if needed. Fill each baking cup about 3/4 way full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or according to package directions. Cupcakes are done when a fork inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool completely before decorating.
FOR DECORATING ABDUCKTION CUPCAKES:
- Assemble a piping bag with a regular round piping tip. Spoon icing into the bag. (If you're using different colored icings, place one color per piping bag).
- Place piping tip onto middle of cooled cupcake (with piping bag and tip situated straight up) and pipe one large circle. As you pipe, maintain consistent pressure by pressing gently on the bag. Slowly move the tip in a circular motion and gradually lift up a bit to make the icing circle a little higher. (You're not just piping a flat circle.)
- On top of the large circle, pipe a smaller circle for the chick's head. Leave a swirl at the top for the chick's feathers. (You can also pipe the icing for the chick's body and head as a swirl if that's easier.)
- For the chick's eyes: Place candy eyes on the front of the face/head.
- For the chick's beak: turn one rounded orange heart sprinkles so that the round edges stick into the icing and the pointed side is out. Place beak under the eyes.
- For the feet: Use two heart sprinkles and stick heart points into the icing (next to the cupcake) for feet.
- Liberally sprinkle icing chick and cupcake with yellow sanding sugar (or sanding sugar to match the icing color).
- Serve immediately to your fellow Abducktion gamers and let them be in awe.
- Store in a covered airtight container or, if you're like me, just make everyone else take home the leftovers so you don't have to deal with them. (First, sneak one out for yourself to eat later.)
